India Software giant Infosys Technologies Ltd. has started a program to hire back its former employees. The program, called Green Channel, will help India's second-largest software exporter by sales to reduce the time spent on training new employees.
With staff resignations inching closer to pre-recession levels, Indian outsourcers are now looking at innovative ways to maintain a regular supply of talent to meet the soaring demand for outsourcing services, triggered by a spike in global technology spending.
India's largest software services exporter by sales TCS--is also open to hiring back former employees, but doesn't have any program in place, said a company spokeswoman.
On other hand, MphasiS Ltd. too has initiated program called "homecoming" to welcome back its old employees who have left the company in the last 18 months.
